A career reinsurance practitioner, Simba is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (FIISA) with over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. His work experience includes treaty and facultative underwriting, business development, operations management and training. Simba has worked in Zimbabwe, Mozambique and South Africa, both in reinsurance and direct markets.

He is a highly qualified insurance practitioner with the following qualifications: Master of Business Administration (NUST), Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Insurance and Risk Management (NUST), IISA Advanced Programme in Insurance Practice, Programme in Risk Management (UNISA) and a Diploma in Marketing (IMM).

Simba has experience which covers the entire industry structure having worked for two reinsurance companies Emeritus Re SA and FBC Re (Zimbabwe), as well as a direct insurer (New National Assurance Company). Simba is also passionate about skills development in the insurance sector and to pursue this he also founded Entwise Training and Consulting (Entwise).

Simba has been instrumental in the skills development space in Africa by providing insurance and reinsurance training through local insurance institutes such as the Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA), Insurance Institute of Botswana (IIB), Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe (IIZ) and other private arrangements.
